The “Central Government Health Scheme” (CGHS) for the Central Govt. employees and their dependents was started in New Delhi in 1954. Subsequently, the scheme was extended to pensioners, freedom fighters and other specific groups of people. The scheme was introduced in Kolkata during 1972. Apart from Delhi and Kolkata, the scheme now covers the cities of Mumbai, Allahabad, Meerut, Kanpur, Patna, Nagpur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Pune, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Shillong, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar and Ranchi.
Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts for recruitment through interview :-
Category I: Pharmacist (Allopathy)
Current Vacancy : U.R. – 05, OBC – 02, SC – 01
TOTAL = 08.
Pay scale : Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 (PB – 1) + G.P. – 2,800/ – & other allowances as admissible
Essential Qualification :
(a) 10 + 2 with science stream Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
(b) Technical Qualification :
Approved diploma in Pharmacy from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy act 1948.
Age limit : 18 – 30 Years
Relaxation :
(a) up to 05 years for SC.
(b) up to 03 years for OBC.
For Govt. Servants :
(c) Up to 35 years for UR Category.
(d) Up to 35 years + 05 years for SC Category.
(e) Up to 35 years + 03 years for OBC Category.

Category II : Pharmacist cum Clerk (Homoeo)
(1) Current Vacancy : UR – 01
TOTAL = 01.
Pay scale : Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 (PB – 1) + G.P. – 2,800/ – & other allowances as admissible
Essential Qualification : (a) Matriculation or equivalent.
(b) At least two years experience as Homoeopathic Pharmacist in Government or recognized Private Homoeopathic Hospital / Dispensary or three years experience under a Registered Homoeopathic Practitioner.
Age limit : 18 – 25 Years
Relaxation :
For Govt. Servants :
Up to 35 years.
General information & Instruction for Application to the above posts:
1. No. of vacancies mentioned herein may vary (Increase or decrease) depending upon the Administrative exigencies.
2. Name of selected candidates as well as reserve list will be prepared from this interview which will remain valid till filling up of the advertised posts.
3. The crucial date of determining eligibility of all candidates in every respect like age limits, essential qualifications and proof of age is as on the closing date of receipt of the application i.e. 30.03.2012.
4. (i) Candidates employed in Govt. service should send their application through proper channel. However, they may send an advance copy to reach this office before closing date.
(ii) Submission of No Objection Certificate from their employer is mandatory before Interview.
5. Age relaxation for Govt. employees.
Candidates seeking age relaxation under this para should submit certificate issued after the date of advertisement from his / her employer on the office's Letter Head to the effect that he or she is a regularly appointed Govt. Servant and not on ad-hoc / temporary / daily wages / hourly paid / contract basis employee who has rendered not less than three years continuous service on regular basis as on the closing date i.e. 30.03.2012.
6. Candidates seeking reservation as OBC status :
a) The candidate should furnish the relevant OBC Certificate in the format prescribed for Central Government jobs.
b) The Certificate that he/she does not belong to the persons / sections (Creamy Layer) should have reference to Government of India DOPT OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 14.10.2008.
c) Submit a declaration in the prescribed format given below.

7. Candidates belonging to OBC but coming in the creamy layer should indicate their category as General.
8. Submission of application :
a) The application in the prescribed format given herewith duly supported with attested photocopies of all certificates and mark sheets should be sent by Speed Post/ Registered Post to the following address : Additional Director Central Govt. c) Candidates are requested to enclose with the application one self addressed unstamped plain envelope (10 '' X 5 ') with PIN code.
d) In case of applicant residing in Assam, Meghlay, Arunachal Pradesh, Mezoram,Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti District of Pangi subdivision of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands & Lakshadweep the closing date is 13.04.2012.
9. Call letter for the Interview will be sent to eligible applicants after scrutiny of Applications.
10. Invalid Application :
An application will be summarily rejected for :
(i) not conforming to the official format / having incomplete information/ misrepresentation of facts / left unsigned / without an attested photograph.
(ii) Without attested photocopy of the following as enclosures :
a) Matriculation or equivalent certificate in support of their declaration of age. Age on Admit Card / Mark Sheet will not be accepted.
b) Mark sheets of Matriculation or equivalent Examination passed.
c) Mark sheets and Certificate of Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination passed.
d) Mark sheet of Diploma or Degree Examination Passed.
e) Degree or Diploma Certificates or other Certificate in support of their educational qualification.
f) Registration Certificate of Pharmacy Council.
g) Caste certificate for candidates belonging to SC or OBC issued by the Competent Authority & OBC declaration for OBC candidates.
h) Experience Certificate for the post of Pharmacist cum clerk (Homoeo).
